The first bed & breakfast in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the The Martin Hill Inn has been welcoming guests from around the world to this vibrant and historic city since 1978. 

Located just a ten minute walk from the heart of Market Square, the land on which the Inn is situated was sold by New Hampshire Lt. Gov. George Vaughn to the Martin family in 1710 for 50 British pounds. Over the years, this area of Portsmouth became known as Martin Hill.
